Happy New Year!… plus some :-)

January 10, 2008

Well…  a new year and a new sibling on the way :-) Mum and Dad have told me to expect competition by August!!

Pretty lights in Darwin city

Sorry about the slackness but Grandpa’s been havin’ a major headache with his computer, and couldn’t do my photos for me. The other big news ’round here was Cyclone Helen… not much rain, only Category 2, but plenty of wind… blew my clothes off :-) Ya reckon it’s safe for a bloke ta come out now, Grandpa?

Man it was windy!!

It blew plenty of trees over…

Plenty for the Council ta clean up here!

There was another casualty too, Dad’s special big gum tree that he carefully saved when the back yard was cleared.

Damn... I 'specially kept this tree!

He wasn’t happy :-( but there was nothing for it but ta get the chainsaw out and chop it up.

Another load for the dump!

It was a bit much for his trailer,so he loaded the trunks inta Grandpa’s truck.

This crane sure comes in handy!

Him and Grandpa had a bit of a laugh first, tearing the stump loose… they reckon it was really necessary, but I reckon it was just an excuse for lairising :-)

Mug lairs!!
