About Charles

This is it, it’s me Charles Ian Stanley Hyde; born in Darwin, in the Northern Territory of Australia. It all started at Darwin Private Hospital at 1548 hrs on February 1, 2007; I was 3.04 kg, or 6lb 11oz for imperial people, and 50cm long. My paternal grandfather started this blog for me as soon as I had a name; it took my Mum and Dad all night to work out what to call me.

I’m named after my paternal great grandfather Charles Godfrey Hyde, my maternal grandfather Charlie Mavros, my father Benjamin Charles Hyde, my paternal grandfather Ian Hyde and my maternal great grandfather Arnold Stanley Janz.
