Grandpa’s big digger!

September 27, 2007

Monday night Grandpa and Watto came over to our place an unloaded a big digger ta knock down our mango trees an’ stuff. Boy… I want dad ta get me one of these… it’s even bigger than my pram :-) Watto’s not standing on the ground , he’s standing on the tracks… even he’s not that tall!

Check out my new toy!

Grandpa came back last night ta start flattening all the ol’ fences, then he started on the trees… good fun!! More pics ta come.

Cousin Leo’s turn!

September 24, 2007

This Sunday it was Cousin Leo’s turn to meet Father Joel. He was christened by his godfather Yianni, with his Mum (my Nana Tiana) and Dad (Uncle Billy) watching on, and his brothers Charlie and Joseph close by to make sure all went to plan.

Well, that’s it, I’m not watchin’ the footy again this year :-( Last night the mighty Magpies  just couldn’t edge past the Geelong Cats all night… put us down 13.14 (92) to 13.9 (87) they did!! Drive ya ta drink!!

Dad 'n me sinking a few cold ones!!

Go Collingwood… for next year :-)

Go you mighty Magpies... next year!

But Grandpa’s happy ‘coz Port’s gunna be in the Grand Final… he reckons they’re the Magpies too, so I should be happy… as if!!

Four Generations!

September 11, 2007

I had some very special visitors for my christening… Dad’s grandparents, my Great Grandma and Grandpa!  That makes four generations of us…

Four generations of Hydes!

Last night I took them all out for tea, Aunty Patricia as well, ’cause Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Hyde are flying back home tomorrow. We went to a really good steakhouse and Mum even let me have some… tell ya what, it beats milk, but I s’pose milk got me where I am today :-)

And a special thought for those great grandparents of the Mavros, Janz and Trikilis families who are no longer with us.

I am the way and the light

Today was a solemn occassion… I was christened into St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in the presence of my family and friends.  The ceremony was performed by Father Joel and my godmother Tiana. I was pretty stressed by all the goings on, but Auntie Katie was helping me, and Mum wasn’t far away!

Once everything was over I managed a big smile for Mum and Dad :-)

They all got fish for tea; me… chicken broth and pumkin, me ‘n Grandpa love pumkin!

It’s tough all this eatin’, ya know… reckon I’ll have a little nap. Check out Grandpa’s neat patchwork quilt that Cheryl C made for his 50th… she made one for me too… when I was born!

Remember those swimming photos I promised ya… well you’ll have to wait a bit. I was gettin’ ‘em ready, but I reckon Grandpa’s usin’ his mouse upside down :-) so we had ta give up!

Three computer mice... you count 'em!

2 (Dads) + 2 (Sons) = 3 :-)

Yiayia and yours truly

Last night about 100 people came to our house to celebrate Yiayia’s birthday, which was last weekend. It was a surprise party, and it certainly surprised her… for a moment there, I thought she might drop me!!

I reckon one of these balloons would be tasty, but it’s pretty hard ta get ya mouth around ‘em…

Aunty Sylvia, moi, and my dinner :-)

It was Auntie Slyvia’s and Cousin Kostas’ birthday party too! Three cakes for three birthdays… Happy Birthday to everyone :-)

Three birthday cakes... 33, 27, 60

Mum made this reeeally cool slide show about all the birthday people, and I got ta see ‘em all when they were little… just like me :-)

PS… I got another tooth today, a top tooth… an eye tooth they call ‘em!!
